What this app is

Fare Game is a novelty entertainment app that spoofs a taxi meter for family journeys. It is intended purely for fun and personal amusement. It is not a commercial taxi or ride-hailing service, does not process real payments, and should not be relied upon for accurate fare calculation, distance measurement, or any financial purpose.

All "fares", "debts", and "payments" within the app are fictitious and carry no legal or financial obligation.

Data we collect

None. This app does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.

All information you enter (passenger names, ride history, fare settings) is stored locally on your device only, using Apple's SwiftData framework. No data ever leaves your device. There is no server, no cloud sync, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no third-party SDKs.

Location data

The app uses your device's location services solely to calculate distance travelled during an active ride. Location data is:

• Processed entirely on-device
• Never transmitted, stored remotely, or shared with any third party
• Used only during an active ride — including when the app is in the background or the screen is locked, so your route keeps tracking. It stops the moment you end the ride.
• Not retained as raw coordinates — only the calculated distance is saved with the ride record

You can revoke location permission at any time via iOS Settings. The app will still function but distance-based fare components will read as zero.

Third-party services

This app uses no third-party services, SDKs, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or external APIs.

Data storage & deletion

All data is stored in your device's app sandbox. You have full control:

• Delete individual rides via swipe-to-delete in ride history
• Delete all rides via the Clear History function
• Delete all data by uninstalling the app

No backups or copies exist on any server.

Children's privacy

This app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children. Since no data leaves the device, there is no mechanism for data collection of any kind.

No warranty & limitation of liability

This app is provided "as is" for entertainment purposes only. The developer makes no warranties regarding accuracy of distance measurement, fare calculation, or fitness for any particular purpose. Fare Game is not a substitute for a real taxi meter, navigation system, or financial tool.

The developer accepts no liability for any loss, dispute, or claim arising from use of this app, including but not limited to family arguments about who owes what.

Changes to this policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be included with the app. Since no data is collected, changes would only reflect new app functionality.
